Client & Project: HP - LEPX Microsite

HP Indigo's groundbreaking LEPˣ technology is transforming the digital printing industry. To showcase this innovation, an interactive WebGL microsite was created, featuring a 3D recreation of the entire engine to highlight its technological achievements.

I served as the lead producer on this project, which was recognized as FWA's Site of the Day in March 2020.

What was the challenge and how we tackled it

HP Indigo aimed to launch a new microsite to highlight their LEPˣ technology and captivate visitors. Our proposal was to design and develop an interactive WebGL-based microsite that would engage users by allowing them to explore and interact with the technology in an immersive and entertaining way. This approach not only educated visitors about HP's innovative technology but also provided a compelling user experience to boost awareness.

We utilized existing CAD models supplied by HP as a foundation to craft a distinctive visual style and imagery, elevating the microsite to an exceptional level of creativity. The meticulous attention to design, animation, and development earned the website the FWA Site of the Day award, recognizing its outstanding craftsmanship and innovative approach.

What I did

1. Managed pre-production activities for the project, including establishing and implementing the project timeline and assigning necessary resources.

2. Oversaw the coordination of UX, design, and development efforts to ensure the project was delivered on time and met high standards of quality.

3. Directed the creative production process, developing the narrative and interactive elements of the microsite to enhance user engagement.

4. Served as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns.

5. Acted as the production lead, guiding the project from initial concept through to final delivery, and ensuring seamless integration of all components.

The outcome

Our client was extremely happy with the result, and the look & feel was used afterwards for other promotional campaigns related to the brand.

The project was awarded a FWA of the day in March 2020 due to the high level of quality in UX, Design and Development of the site.
